Community Support Worker (Short-Term Treatment Home) Full-time

 

The position is responsible for providing direct services and supports to individuals residing at the Short-Term Treatment Home. Working as part of the Crisis Intervention Network, the position is responsible for assisting individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities and/or a dual diagnosis (some who may have come in conflict with the law) in achieving goals through the implementation of established service support plans.

Minimum Requirements:

• 2 year College Diploma in a related field (BST, CYW, DSW)
• 1 year practical experience with individuals who have a developmental disability, and/or dual diagnosis (some who may have come in contact with the law) in a community setting.
• Knowledge and understanding of the needs and best practice service standards for persons with developmental disabilities
• Experience working in a residential behavioural setting is an asset
• CPR and First Aid training
• Certification in non-violent crisis intervention (CPI)
• Pharmacology training is an asset
• Valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle

Computer Support Technician (Part-time Contract / 29 hours per week)

 

Developmental Services of Leeds and Grenville is currently recruiting a Computer Support Technician for our Brockville Office. The position is responsible for the support and maintenance of computer hardware, laptops, printers and peripherals. This includes installing, repairing, and upgrading all hardware and equipment owned and operated by the agency. We are currently seeking a family who is interested in opening their home and providing a supportive family environment to an individual who is in her 50’s and has had support from her family which has allowed her to enjoy independence.  She is a sociable woman, seeking the warmth and emotional stability which comes from family life.  She is looking for guidance and support to gain further independence and continue to enjoy an active role in family and community life.
 
This individual is involved with Career Services full-time, which is of great value to her, and wishes to remain in the Brockville area to maintain her family and employment connections.
